Target’s new International Market Place location has its grand opening slated for this Sunday, Oct. 27, but you can already get your shop on as the store soft opened earlier this week.

Occupying the first two levels of the space formerly filled by Saks Fifth Avenue in the center’s mauka wing, the Waikīkī location is the smallest of Target’s six O‘ahu stores. That means you’ll find edited-down versions of most departments—lots of home goods, including bedding, lighting and kitchenware, but no dedicated McGee and Co. or Hearth and Hand with Magnolia nooks; a generous beauty selection with Essie nail polish and Gwyneth Paltrow’s Good.Clean.Goop line, but no Ulta Beauty shop-in-shop.

There’s still a ton of great finds to shop, however. Waikīkī residents will surely appreciate having another option for groceries, sundries and baby essentials in the neighborhood. Reflective of its proximity to the beach, the store boasts an expanded women’s swimwear selection. There’s also an in-store Starbucks Café. Both pick-up and drive-up services will be available—you’ll find the drive-up zone in the Level 3 parking lot area. Entrances are on Level 1 and 2, and the store offers parking validation for purchases of $25 or more.

While browsing, keep an eye out for special features unique to the Waikīkī location, inspired by an appreciation for Hawai‘i’s land and sea. Artwork by local artist Jana Lam and Wooden Wave duo, Roxy and Matt Ortiz, grace the walls and window displays. And surfboard-shaped displays, made from invasive Albizia wood, are suspended from the ceiling as a nod to Waikīkī’s surf culture.

A tip for those going down for the grand opening: the store will be giving the first 100 customers a complimentary Target tote bag.
