Honolulu Night Market returns with its second and final event of the year, just in time for fall festivities and holiday shopping. While the market used to take place every month pre-pandemic, these events are now scheduled for twice a year, once during the summer and fall. Meaning this is your last chance for 2023 to check out this popular block party! Swing by Our Kaka‘ako from 5 to 10 p.m. to try good food, shop local boutiques and vendors for that perfect Christmas gift and watch live entertainment and a fashion show.

Where to Park
Since it’s Kaka‘ako, there are plenty of parking options.
- Flats at Pu‘unui parking garage at 440 Keawe St.
- Shops at Keauhou Lane at 502 Keawe St.
- Salt at Our Kaka‘ako parking structure at 333 Keawe St.
Rates for these parking structures are free for the first hour, no validation required. With validation from an Our Kaka‘ako shop or restaurant, it’s $1 for up to two hours, $2 for up to three hours, $4 for up to four hours and $4 and posted rates for four hours and up. Note that the standard non-validated rate is $3 per 30 minutes or fraction thereof. Our Kaka‘ako will not be validating parking for Honolulu Night Market. Coin-operated metered street parking is also available.
If the parking garages at The Flats at Pu‘unui, The Shops at Keauhou Lane and Salt at Our Kaka‘ako are full, Waterfront Plaza is just a block away at 500 Ala Moana Boulevard and offering a special event flat rate of $3. Visit the Our Kaka‘ako first aid tent in front of Queen’s Island Urgent Care on the corner of Auahi St. and Keawe St. to receive parking validation for Waterfront Plaza. To access the parking garage, enter on South St. and Pohukaina St. Pay at a parking payment machine before returning to your vehicle or on the way out of the garage. Only credit and debit cards are accepted.

What to Do
There’s something for everyone at the Honolulu Night Market. If you’re a big foodie, a wide variety of food booths are slated to show up that night. Note that the vendors selling plates and full-size entrees may take longer to prepare (although well worth the wait), while others will sell smaller plates, desserts and beverages. There are also numerous tenants offering food options from grab-and-go to sit-down. Check ourkakaako.com/directory for a full list of the dining establishments throughout the nine blocks of Our Kaka‘ako.
For fashion lovers, don’t miss the unveiling of Laha‘ole Hawai‘i’s new Lei Pīkake Holiday Collection on the Main Stage at 6 p.m. Items from the collection will be available for purchase at their booth in The Barn at Salt at Our Kaka‘ako—the Hawaiian Airlines® Bank of Hawai‘i World Elite Mastercard® zone.
The highest-energy acts will be on the Main Stage with host Zavier Cummings (“Bradda Z” of @howsdisguy) and musical performances from the Haku Collective, who will be performing before and after the fashion show. Dillon Pakele will be joined by friends at the Waiākea Stage in Kaloko‘eli Courtyard, performing to attendees around the H Mart area and beer garden-goers. In the Barn at Salt at Our Kaka‘ako, DJ Mau and DJ Compose will spin pop and local hits all night.
For responsible adults 21 years and older, there will be beer gardens serving beer, wine, and spirits—one near the intersection of Coral St. and Auahi St. (outside Morning Brew and The Boiling Crab) and the other at Kaloko‘eli Courtyard (outside H Mart).
This year, softball gold medalist and Kamehameha Schools alumna Kamalani Dung, who will be the emcee at the Waiākea Stage, is partnering with Waiākea Hawaiian Volcanic Water’s Kōkua Initiative and the Hawai‘i Foodbank on a food drive for the holidays. Get into the spirit of the season by bringing canned goods to share at the Waiākea tent in Kaloko‘eli Courtyard or by scanning the QR code at the tent to make a monetary donation to the Hawai‘i Foodbank.

Tips
- Arrive early for the most parking options. Note that this Honolulu Night Market starts an hour earlier than the 2022 Honolulu Night Markets, at 5 p.m. rather than 6 p.m.
- Consider using a rideshare, especially if you plan to enjoy the beer gardens. Rideshare is a great option so you can enjoy the event without having to look for parking.
- The “ALOHA” letter lights at the Nalo Snow booth will make for a great photo op, Instagrammers!
- Don’t forget to enter the giveaways going on!
- If the line is lengthy for a booth you want to buy from, consider grabbing a snack or small plate from another booth or Our Kaka‘ako tenant that you can enjoy while waiting.
- Cash and credit are both accepted at vendors, but if you do need cash, there are multiple ATMs located throughout Salt at Our Kaka‘ako.
- Remember, you can bring canned goods for the Hawai‘i Foodbank to the Waiākea tent in Kaloko‘eli Courtyard. Or scan the QR code at the tent to donate directly to the Hawai‘i Foodbank.
